Anglo Indian Travel Table With Large Star Inlay, circa 1900

List: $3,250

An octagonal Anglo Indian travel table constructed with rich teak wood base and a prominent eight-pointed star inlay. The tabletop displays alternating segments of golden satinwood and dark ebony, creating a radiating star pattern within the octagonal frame. The folding base incorporates pierced fretwork panels with geometric and foliate motifs including heart-shaped cartouches, trefoil piercings along the upper border, and elongated teardrop forms. The octagonal form and folding mechanism allowed for compact storage and transport,  often intended for British officers or households abroad, now stablilized; circa 1900.
