English Regency Tea Caddy, Circa 1810

Description

Solid rosewood tea caddy of rectangular form with sloped, four-sided top with a raised central plateau and gadrooned edge detail; brass hinges and working lock and key. Interior with single paper-lined compartment. Set upon four ebony bun feet. Circa 1810.
