An exceptional Kashmiri polychrome-lacquer dome-top letter box with finely-painted floral decoration. A lift-off lid reveals a sectional slatted storage compartment for documents / letters. Intricately decorated overall with floral motifs and scrolls in an unusual colorway. A beautiful period example from the Kashmir region.
