A red tole and gilt monteith, also known as rafraîchissoir à verre, circa 1860 of oval, castellated form with two handles; decorated with grape leaves and vines; popular during the 19th Century this bowl would contain chilled, champagne or wine glasses; with some surface oxidation throughout, especially to the interior bottom;
