Good quality specimen wood box of various English hardwoods including yew, burl yew, walnut, cherry, pear, elm, ash and others. Each inlaid panel is separated by pinstripe boxwood inlay; silver kite shaped escutcheon, turned ebony feet and intricate checkered banding of boxwood and walnut along the edges, working lock with key, English circa 1820.
