A handsome & richly patinaed English Oak Gateleg Table with bobbin turned legs, circa 1780. The oval top above gate leg supports; the plain frieze with moulded apron, square and bobbin turned legs joined by stretchers. The gateleg form is very useful as the table can be folded up against a wall when not in use and turned readily back into a full dining table when needed, or even used with one leaf out as a console table.
