Description
A pair of late-19th-century oval oak stools with shaped hand-grip apertures to the seats. Each stool is supported on four turned legs joined by turned and block-form stretchers set in a cross formation. The seats show shaped circular plugs consistent with period construction, and each retains a well-worn surface with expected early wear. The stools sit on slightly splayed feet, giving stability to the compact form.
