Description
A walnut commode of rectangular form with a moulded top and rounded front corners above four long drawers. Each drawer is set with raised moulded panels and circular brass pulls; shaped escutcheons are set to the keyholes. The sides are laid with matched walnut veneers framed by shaped reserves. The stiles are rounded and the commode stands on turned bun feet. The drawer linings and surfaces show early wear consistent with age and use. Italian circa 1700.
